Day School Christmas Party

Tripp's school is absolutely wonderful when it comes to parental involvement.  The school celebrates almost every major holiday with a party.  Parents, siblings, grandparents, etc. are always welcome to attend.  One of my duties as room mom is to get the class parents to sign up to help out with the different occasions and special snacks.  If I'm unable to get anyone to sign up for a particular holiday, then, I'm responsible for planning the party or snack associated with it.  I haven't had any trouble with that this year.  All the parents have stayed true to their commitments and the overall coordinating hasn't been difficult at all.  Since me and another mom planned the Thanksgiving party together, I just oversaw the planning of the Christmas Party.  The two moms in charge of it collected money for pizza, drinks, and cookies to decorate.  The kids had a blast.  It was nice spending time with Tripp in his classroom and even Rob was able to come.  It was also nice to chat with and get to know some of the other parents a little better.  It's amazing how many other Dad's were there to celebrate along with the moms.  It's been such a great year so far!

We all sent in a $5 book for the book exchange.  This is the one Tripp got.  It has become one of his bedtime favorites.

Loving on his little sister.

Cookie decorating fun.

Tripp did more M&M eating than cookie decorating.
