This has been a HUGE week for the little man. Yesterday, he started sleeping in his big boy bed. Since Camille will be here in a few weeks and we will eventually need the crib, we decided to go ahead and make the move now. I was a little worried about how he would do, but he did awesome! Once we left the room for the night, he stayed in bed until I went to get him this morning. YAY TRIPP!!!

Tripp's 1st Day of 2 year old Preschool
Tuesday, Tripp started preschool at a church near our house. I was on the fence about enrolling him at all this year, but decided it will be very beneficial when Camille arrives. It will not only give Tripp the chance to get out of the house while Camille and I are stuck inside (during RSV/flu season), but it'll also help me adjust to two and allow me time to get chores done with only one child at home. The class I enrolled him in is only 2 days a week, Tuesday and Thursday from 9 am-1 pm, but I think that should be long enough for a child his age. The school has a great curriculum for the children and integrates bible stories into their daily lesson plans. The children also go to chapel every week for about 20-30 minutes.
This week, his teacher said he did excellent. Tripp already seems to LOVE his new teachers Ms. Martha and Ms. Mandy. He had no problem getting out of the car in the carpool line either morning, but is super excited to see me when I pick him up in the afternoon. He has fallen asleep on the ride home both days this week! He transferred into bed easily, without waking, and slept for 2-3 hours each day. He's obviously playing hard and that is wonderful. I can't wait to see how much he learns and changes throughout the year.

Excited to start his first day of school!
So worn out after meeting his new teachers and friends!
Day 2 was as equally exhausting as Day 1!
His first two pieces of school artwork. I think he may have had a little help on the school bus...or maybe he's just the most talented 2 year old ever!
I'd also like to quickly mention that I signed up to be the class room mom this year. I'm not sure what I've gotten myself into, but I'm assuming it can't be too much for a class of 2 year olds. I guess I'll find out what it entails after the room mom meeting in a few weeks. Say a prayer for me. I have LOTS going on, but what's a little more, right?!?
