Every year, we head to the Church's Christmas Tree lot to pick out our tree. I'd really like to go to a family tree farm and chop down our own, but this is still fun for the kids and usually fits into our schedules better. I'm always a fan of picking out a tall and very full tree. I don't want any Griswold action going on, but I do prefer a bigger tree. There is also something about having a real tree vs. an artificial one in the house. Yes, the pine needles get everywhere. Yes, you have to remember to water it everyday. Yes, it ultimately costs more because you have to purchase one each year, but the smell is like no other. Not to mention, it is always something we've done growing up and will continue to be a family tradition for us. I would, however, like to eventually get a smaller artificial tree for our playroom that can be seen from outside the front of our house. In the meantime, this year, I also bought a tiny green tree from target and purchased a few boy ornaments from there and hobby lobby to put in Tripp's room. He loved it and was really sad when the season was over and it was time to take it down.
The weekend after Thanksgiving also brings the UGA vs. Georgia Tech game so you can always find us in our UGA spirit wear!
Tripp watching the tree get wrapped up and ready to go on the top of our car.
Camille LOVED the tree. She is at the age where she wants to constantly rearrange all the ornaments so I was careful to put the non-breakable ones at the bottom.
We always have such a fun time watching the game and decorating the tree as well as the rest of the house. I love this season!
