Family Time

One of the best parts about having the lake property close by is that it leads to many impromptu, completely family weekends.  Not that we can't spend quality time together at home, but when we go to the lake there is nothing to do but chill out and enjoy each others company.  Our days usually consist of hanging out on the water while our nights are full of movies, games, good food, and drinks.  Most of the time, my parents, siblings, and their significant others go as well.  I'm so excited that Tripp and Camille will get to grow up going to and making memories there. Hopefully, they will have some cousins to join them one day.

This was one of those fun, family weekends.  So relaxing.

This guy turns 3 in a few weeks.  How is that possible?

Dad, Matt, and Tripp cleaning out the canoe and making sure no creepy crawlers had made it their home since it was last taken out.

Unless it's a holiday weekend, the lake is usually calm and peaceful.

Tripp playing with a model train and pewter crab that he affectionately calls "Mr. Train and Mr. Crab".  The train belonged to Tripp's Grandpa Mike so it always makes me smile that he loves it so much.  It's one of the first things he wants when we go to the lake.

Getting tired.  It's not a far drive here from our house, but baby girl was worn out.

But then she rallied.

Saturday morning we all had breakfast and then went down to the water.

We had a good bit of sunshine so we set up the pack 'n play and tent outside to give Camille some shade.

Tripp loves floating on the turtle raft and squirting everyone with the squirt gun.

Mom and Dad tried to get some pictures of us all in the water.  It's always a challenge to get everyone looking in the same direction.

Better.

Dad always offers to stay out of the water with Camille.  He's a wonderful Grandfather-- "Pepere".

This guy (Chris) will be joining our family next year when he and Alli get married!  They just got engaged over Memorial Day Weekend.  Wahoo!  We are thrilled for them.

I may have mentioned he likes the raft!

Good times! See you again soon Lake!
