13 weeks and counting

Yesterday, I met a huge pregnancy milestone and started my second trimester!  It's such a relief to be moving right along, although many of those early pregnancy symptoms haven't left yet.  This is completely new to me because with Tripp's pregnancy, I was lucky that both the extreme fatigue and nausea were gone on the day I turned 13 weeks.  The fatigue did return in my third trimester, but that's to be expected when your toting an almost full-term to full-term infant around.  Of course, I did experience some other pregnancy "woes" throughout Tripp's pregnancy such as reflux, round ligament and hip pain, and plain old discomfort in the last few weeks, but overall I had a great pregnancy (despite the low platelet issue, but that's another story for another day).   This time around, however, I feel more exhausted than before and my nausea hasn't completely left me.  I'm able to eat a variety of foods, but still have many aversions.  I pray these symptoms will lighten up a little as I move forward.  It's so hard to get out there and do more than walk (for exercise) when I'm feeling so terrible.  People often ask what I think I'm having.  I've gone back and forth a lot, but most of my 1st trimester was spent thinking it was going to be another boy.  Recently, I've been thinking it might be a girl since my symptoms have been so much worse this time around.  Either way, I'll be truly thrilled, but a little symptom relief would be greatly appreciated!

  1. My guess is girl. I know so many people having boys in 2012 that we need a girl or two to balance it out! What does the Chinese Calendar say? Was it right for Tripp?

  2. I think girl too. I know too many people with boys or having boys...we need more little girls for Molly to play with. :)

  3. The Chinese calendar said boy for Tripp and turned out to be correct. It says boy for this baby as well so we'll see.
It might be nice to have a little more pink around here though. ;)
