I Love Maine, Part 2

As promised...the rest of our trip to Maine.

After we finished shopping in Bar Harbor, we started our trek back down the coast to Portland.  We made several stops along the way to take pictures of the fall foliage.  Wow, the leaves were beautiful!

We had lunch at the Village Restaurant in Camden and ate more yummy seafood.  The town was beautiful with all of its historic homes and inns.  We could tell there is a lot of wealth in the town because the harbor was filled with huge yachts!

We got into Portland late that evening, checked into our hotel downtown, and tried to get some rest.  Tripp was in a super cranky mood by that point and we figured he needed to get to bed a little earlier since he'd been staying up later than he usually does at home.

In the morning we got up, had breakfast, and headed into South Portland/Cape Elizabeth to see the Portland Head Light.  It was a quick 10 minute drive from our hotel, but Tripp fell asleep on the way there.  The poor boy was still so worn out from being constantly on the go.

We couldn't climb to the top of the lighthouse because it's still used by the coast guard.

Love, love, love the rocky shoreline

Rocks...need I say more...

It was pretty cold this day. Both the high and low temps were in the 50s.

I was pointing to the biggest seagull I have ever seen.  Tripp loved looking at the birds.  He would have "pet" one if he could.
That afternoon we walked around the "Old Port" District of Portland, shopped, and ate lunch.  It's such a neat little city.

Resting at the hotel before dinner.  Our room was on the waterfront.
Combing his hair for dinner, but careful not to take his eyes off the cars and boats.

And no day is complete without a TODDLER TANTRUM!!!  (I think he wanted out of the hotel room, but we were still getting ready)

Our last night in Portland, we ate at this cool restaurant.  It was actually in Cape Elizabeth and came highly recommended.  Great food and super cool atmosphere.

What an awesome vacation!  We cannot say enough about our time in Maine and will definitely visit again one day.
